This summer, dive into the world of clay and creativity with our half-day camps for all ages! Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your skills, our professional instructors provide a fun, stress-free environment that encourages creativity and builds self-confidence.

Regardless of your age, our camp provide a stress-free environment to inspire creativity while nurturing self-confidence with professional instruction.

Participants will enjoy exploring the art of hand building, sculpting with clay and learning about surface decorating.

Kids Clay Camp (Ages 7-11)

Your child will have the opportunity to explore handbuilding, and surface decorating techniques, creating unique treasures that will last a lifetime.

Clay is an ideal medium for kids to explore their amazing ideas!

Please note, this camp does not include instruction at the wheel, only handbuilding

Can my child attend both AM and PM camps?

You may register your child for both AM and PM but your camper must leave at 12 and return at 1 PM to give our teachers time to clean the studio and eat lunch

What if my child is not aged 7-11 but I know they would love it?

**Our kids camps are designed for ages 7-11 but if your camper is a little older or younger and you think they would enjoy it please send us an email info@hintonburgpottery.ca

For Teens :

Teenagers, ready to give the pottery wheel a spin? Whether it’s your first time or you're coming back for round two, this is your chance to get creative and try something new! Learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel, or build on what you’ve already started. No experience needed—just bring your energy and curiosity. We can’t wait to see what you create

Teens 12 and older may join our adult camps as well. (Sorry adults, you can't join the teen group cause sometimes teens only want to hang with teens lol!)

For Adult Beginners

Always wanted to try pottery? Now’s your chance! Join us for a beginner-friendly wheel throwing workshop designed for adults. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty! You’ll learn the basics of shaping clay, centering, and throwing your very first pieces. It’s fun, relaxing, and a great way to explore your artistic side. Let’s make some pottery magic together.

This camp is also suitable for teens 12+ who don't mind hanging the adults!

Intermediate Students

Ready to take your pottery skills to the next level? Join us for a week-long pottery course where you'll dive deeper into advanced techniques like creating lidded forms, making teapots, and adding beautiful sgraffito designs to mugs and bowls. Whether you're looking to refine your craftsmanship or explore new creative challenges, this course is designed to push your skills and inspire your creativity.

Can’t commit to a full week? No problem! Join us for a one-time workshop focused on either Spin the Wheel or Handbuilding. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, we’ve got a spot for you. Come play with clay and let your creativity flow

Summer KIDS Camp Cancellation Policy (applies to kids camps only)

4 weeks or more before camp starts: You have the choice of a 90% refund to your original form of payment or 100% refund as a credit to your account to be used towards another camp or other course. Credits cannot be used on shop products.

2-4 weeks before camp starts: You have the choice of a 40% refund to your original form of payment or 100% refund as a credit to your account to be used towards another camp or other course. Credits cannot be used on shop products.

Less than 2 weeks before camp starts: No refund or credit will be given. You are welcome to find another camper to transfer your registration to. Once camp has started we cannot transfer the registration.

We do not offer make-up sessions. If for some reason your camper cannot attend one of the days, we do not offer refunds or make-up sessions.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program due to low enrolment 48 hrs before the program starts.

In the unlikely event we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances a credit for that day will be placed on your account and can be used towards another camp or other course. Credits cannot be used on shop products.
